About Me

I am loana MUNTENAS, born in 1987 in Transylvania. Now I live and work in Luxembourg. I am a civil engineer, mom and artist. Art is something that makes me breathe with a different kind of happiness. Because I love what I do, I have a steady source of motivation that drives me to do my best. This passion leas me to challenge myself daily and learn new skills that helped me to do better everyday.

I discovered it during the pregnancy, by the need to disconnect, to be inspired by the beauty of the art and to be positively charged with all the energy emanating in the whole process of creation.

Now I am the mother of a two-year-old boy, Vladimir, and I have two ongoing exhibitions in Luxembourg. I really want to inspire other women to push their limits to follow their passions.

Painting is my passion, which positively charges me every day and which, over time, has made me understand that I can achieve everything I want , of course through work and desire.

I tried several styles, but the artistic style that defines me is inspired by Fauvism, which is characterized by an explosion of colors, like my personality. This was a formalist current in French painting, from the beginning of the XX century.

I consider myself an independent and balanced woman. It is important to have a job, but also a passion for our soul. As an engineer – it is difficult to overcome the limitations of technology and industry, being necessary to respect the norms, but through art – I can overcome my limits and I have the freedom to create. For me, this is the perfect balance between discipline and freedom.

I believe in constructive criticism, but art and beauty are perceived differently by each viewer, on an aesthetic level. What is important is the energy that I manage to transmit through my works

I want to inspire other women to push their limits. I believe in the power of example and in the fact that there is in each of us the power to achieve everything we want. I feel fulfilled personally and professionally, being also an artist – for my soul.
